KIFLI aims to respond to the challenges of an ageing society through:

- Promoting increased activity among older people and providing them with a supporting framework with which to pursue physical fitness.vd

- Offering communities realistic ways for promoting physical activities for older people. 

- Encouraging people over 50 to participate in physical activities.

- Developing effective on-line training material that can be easily integrated into everyday life.

- Developing common guidelines on training principles for older people.

- Providing trainers and facilitators with appropriate training resources.

Thus, the aim is to create a complex preventive package based on developing and distributing techniques of physical activity, based on the following results:

- To produce guidelines on training principles for older people.web

- To develop on-line training materials; an on-line fitness test and downloadable training videos. 

- To develop a Web 2.0 platform where older people and trainers can access online information.

- To produce a training handbook for professionals and trainers.

- To provide “mobilities” in Europe for users and professionals.

- To hold a Final Conference at the end of the Project so that a wider audience can learn about the project.

We would like to extend the number of users of the project outcomes during and after the lifetime of the project.

1. Communities: The communities built during the lifetime of the project will aquire new techniques and new knowedge on how to do physical exercises appropriate to their age and conditions. The members of these groups are expected to participate in  activities even after the project and attract newcomunidad members.

2. Individuals: individuals might join these new groups or get inspired to exercise by watching the various online materials of the project.

3. Community centres: can get motivated to include courses/activities based on the videos of the training material.

4. Trainers, professionals: can use the material as a basis for communication ideas about  on adult physical education.

5. Decision-makers: can feel the importance of involving seniors into the world of physical activity. The different types of activities presented can provide them with ideas on new social involvement for seniors.
